Seeking adventurous animal lovers!
Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary is based in rural Hartville, WY where former research animals find peace after life in a laboratory. We work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and farm animals like horses, pigs, cows and more.
You’ll help animals like a beagle named Teddy, who at first would shake constantly for months after being rescued from animal testing. Over time, he got more comfortable in his adopted family’s home without his back up against the wall or fearfully walking into open rooms. After four months with them, he barked for the very first time and his morning tremors finally stopped!
Our mission is to give former research animals like Teddy a future by offering an alternative to euthanasia. See our work firsthand by visiting and volunteering at our beautiful sanctuary!
Lodging options for overnight stays include fully-furnished, pet friendly yurts with a functioning kitchen year round OR tent platforms for a more rugged camping experience available May 1st through November 1st. Volunteers can offer as much or little time as they would like in our cat, dog, and farm areas or assist in vet transport, basic carpentry projects, and more. We are also always looking for fosters if your home is available!
Volunteers seeking a more long-term commitment of at least three months full-time can apply for our onsite volunteer program where communal housing is provided at no charge.
